Bill C-389 … Was a bill about basic human rights for Trans people. It would have helped provide equal access to health, education, shelter and justice…It did NOT pass.
143 MP’s voted Yes … And we must honor their support in the coming election.
HOWEVER 135 MP’s voted No… and we must NOT let this rest!
To be clear, this group of 135 members of parliament stood up to be counted. They voted specifically and knowingly AGAINST basic trans rights.
They were fully informed that we are among those most oppressed citizens of Canada. Subject to institutionalized violence and abuse… Living in abject poverty… Denied basic human rights that other Canadians have fought and died for.
And yet, these 135 denied us equality. Denied us compassion.
We know who these 135 MP’s are. Their views are on record. We have their names. And we want you to know who they are… http://www.facebook.com/no tes.php?id=187892311254532
If you are an ally of the trans community… Please, please, please… Do NOT vote for them. And please, please tell your friends to do the same. For further information go to http://www.transpride.ca/
I haven’t said that to my dad since I was 10, or so. And he text me last weekend telling me he loved me.
I think that’s another reason he felt hurt. Well, that’s too bad.
Ed’s home. He still has no idea I bought it.
My sister says he’s so fucking excited. They get in at 7:30 in the fucking morning. And, I don’t think you understand at all what that means.
- He’s going to be scared to get on the plane.
- He’s going to have the energy of a herd of stampeding elephants.
- I would have to be awake from 5:30/6 o’clock to pick them up, and then have to work till 11PM.
