It’s pretty clear that the choice of Ryan is a move to solidify Romney’s base. It does nothing but alienate the moderates, and it seems to me to be a bad move on Romney’s part if he actually wants to win the election. Which means that it was a wonderful move to anyone who would prefer a tonsillectomy via the rectum rather than see a Romney presidency.
